(March 18, 2015) The American Red Cross, Beaumont Chapter, will be opening another shelter in an ongoing effort to help those displaced by severe flooding in southeast Texas. Deweyville High School Gymnasium, located at 171 TX-12 in Orange, Texas will be opening this evening (by 7pm) and providing victims with food and shelter.
In addition to Deweyville HS Gymnasium, the Red Cross is also operating 2 other shelters; one at the Montagne Center in Lamar University-4400 South M.L. King Jr. Parkway, Beaumont, and the at Newton First Baptist Church-319 Main St, Newton.
