On March 18, 2015, Emergency Response vehicles travelled to Call, Texas to deliver disaster relief supplies to Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Located almost an hour outside Beaumont and about thirty minutes from Deweyville, Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Department is providing flood victims with important supplies to help during this trying time. The Beaumont Red Cross chapter contributed cases of water, comfort kits, trash bags, shovels, bleach and other materials to help TCVFD give supplies to affected members of the community.
Flood victims are welcomed to visit Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Department throughout the day to receive supplies that ranges from diapers, boxes of food, hygiene products, clean up buckets, and gently-used clothing. Volunteers will be at the fire department everyday (except Sunday) through next week both taking donations and issuing supplies to victims in need. Many of the volunteers helping distribute supplies have also been affected by flood waters but saw a need to help out their fellow neighbors.
In addition to the Red Cross, TCVFD also received supplies from a plethora of individuals, The Salvation Army, Elijah’s, Jenny’s, and many others.
