“IHL has taught me that neutrality doesn’t mean silence; it means standing up for humanity even when it’s inconvenient.”Krrish Ladha

Krrish Ladha is an exceptional young leader who has been selected to attend the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Summit, where he will travel to the American Red Cross National Headquarters in Washington, D.C., to represent our region. Krrish will join top IHL Youth Action Campaign (YAC) leaders from around the world to showcase outstanding campaigns for 2024–2025.

IHL stands for International Humanitarian Law, and the Summit in our nation’s capital brings together teams from across the globe participating in the Youth Action Campaign. These selected teams will collaborate on special projects. Ms. Elly Zhang, a coordinator for IHL, has worked closely with Krrish and has witnessed the development and success of his team’s campaign.

“Krrish is definitely one of the most dedicated leads. He is very responsible and extremely hardworking. The number of events he organized in such a short amount of time was truly impressive,” said Ms. Zhang.

Krrish and his team will present their campaign and accomplishments from the 2024–2025 year. Their campaign focuses on three central themes: Space Law, Future Voices, and Reimagine Service.

“IHL is a topic not many people are aware of, which is why I am so passionate about advocating for it. When I first started, I didn’t even fully understand what it was,” said Krrish. Reflecting on the challenges they faced, he noted, “One of our biggest obstacles was organization. We were so focused on maximizing impact and awareness that we initially lost sight of logistics. Eventually, we shifted our focus to delivering high-quality events and campaigns rather than trying to do everything at once.”

Krrish expressed deep gratitude to his team for their commitment and support: “My team and I are really excited for the summit. We’ve all worked incredibly hard to get where we are, and it’s rewarding to see that our efforts have paid off.”
