Shortly after Hurricane Hanna made landfall, Jose Ricardo Cepeda walked into the South Texas Red Cross chapter and asked how he could help. “We are here,” said Cepeda “What can Chick-fil-A do to help out?”

Cepeda is the manager of a Chick-fil-A in Harlingen, Texas and he has a strong belief in giving back to the community.

“Our restaurant has been abundantly blessed, and we believe it is our responsibility and the principles of our company to give and help our in our community,” said Cepeda. “Our families were impacted by the result of Hurricane Hanna, and we just want to give back to our community.”

Happy to be able to help families in their time of need, Cepeda and associate, Sarah Holliday, pack up containers filled with sandwiches and chips.

Red Cross volunteers load them up and take off to deliver a hot tasty meal to clients staying in emergency lodging.

Thank you, Chick-fil-A! The meals you generously donated, nourished hundreds of people affected by Hurricane Hanna.
