Aida and Felipe Sanchez of Harlingen, Texas have a blessed mentality. Despite the flooding within their house, ruined furniture, and starting anew; they are grateful for what they have…family, love, and Clean-Up Kits provided by the American Red Cross. Despite their loss, the Sanchez Family are choosing to be Victors, and not Victims, from the heavy downpour which transpired on Wednesday, an occurrence which hasn’t occurred since 1935.

100 Clean-Up kits were dispersed on Sunday afternoon to Harlingen residents, including Aida and neighbors. Upon receiving the kit, Aida became emotional with gratitude. When asked to describe the American Red Cross in one word, “Angels” was Aida’s heartfelt response.

The Sanchez are one of hundreds of families that are starting their recovery process from the heavy rainfall in South, TX. The need for assistance now greater than ever. Please consider donating by going to redcross.org or by calling 1-800-Red-Cross.
